The operator of UK-based children’s play centre brand 360 Play is seeking to expand into Europe through franchised ventures.
DP Leisure has launched the ‘Franchise 360’ programme, which would create franchised openings of 360 Play in Europe, and specifically in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
There are currently three of the entertainment centres in the UK – in Milton Keynes, Stevenage and Leicester – and DP Leisure said it was also seeking “further opportunities” domestically.
Sister company DP Associates has conducted successful trade investigations into the Netherlands, and DP Leisure managing director Duncan Phillips said “the time was right” to expand to the continent.
“We have a vast wealth of experience in the design and operation of children’s play centres and have created a mix of activities that not only provides a great fun day out for youngsters and their parents but which also incorporates numerous activities to aid children’s development,” he said.
The 360 Play centres – which have attracted more than one million visitors since their creation – feature a three storey play structure, dodgem cars, a carousel, and a ‘360 Street’ creative play area among other activities. Two of the current sites also contain outdoor activity areas.
