Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) has completely overhauled the pitches at London's Eltham College ahead of the imminent arrival of Team GB's football squad as they prepare to take on Senegal, UAE and Uruguay.
STRI was appointed to oversee the preparation of the pitches at the college in August 2011 and has improved the playing surface with irrigation, drainage and a surface renovation programme, managed by R&K Kensett Ltd.
The establishment, in south east London, has seen its football pitches levelled and reseeded to complement a newly refurbished College Meadow Pavilion.
Eltham College will also be hosting the other international football teams who are playing their matches at Wembley Stadium.
STRI was established in 1929 to provide advice on golf course management and now operates internationally in 51 countries and has advised on more that 10,000 sports facilities.
