Sports ball manufacturer Molten is to renew its sponsorship of Basketball Ireland commencing in September 2012.
The sponsorship deal sees the appointment of the Molten 12-panel basketball as the exclusive, official ball for Basketball Ireland for all international and domestic games including schools, colleges and universities.
Under the terms of the agreement Molten is to provide Basketball Ireland with a range of its top basketballs plus additional funding to support the organisation's work in developing the sport in Ireland.
The Molten BGL7/6 Basketball is approved by FIBA (International Basketball Federation) and is the official ball for all FIBA tournaments, major international championships and national teams, worldwide.
In the UK, the Molten BGL7/6 is the official ball for GB Basketball and GB Wheelchair Basketball Association teams and the Molten BGG7/6 Basketball is the official ball of the British Basketball League, British Universities and Colleges Sport, British Colleges Sports and the London Youth Games.
