Operators can marry pods for twin-player capabilities Bandai Namco has launched a new flat screen edition of its best-selling Star Wars: Battle Pod arcade game.
The new version boasts a 42-inch (107cm) LCD monitor rendered with Unreal Engine’s cutting-edge graphics technology, and the tilted screens create a greater sense of immersion.
Operators can marry two pods for twin-player capabilities. In this Co-op play mode, players need to work together to contribute to the success of the mission. Both players aim to shoot down the same enemy target, however they will compete for points in destroying enemies, with the most successful pilot recognised at the end of the game.
Players are able to take control of some of the most memorable vehicles in the Star Wars universe and pilot them to victory. Victory is achieved through adept and masterful control of Star Wars™: Battle Pod / Standard Edition flight stick controls and throttle.
Players must destroy enemy crafts to gain points, bring down multiple enemy crafts in quick succession to earn combo bonuses. Players’ scores and performance are determined after each stage.
