German company Freecross has introduced exercise equipment which combines a traditional cross trainer with wheels.
The product has been designed to add a unique edge to outdoor fitness sessions.
Just like a static cross trainer, it works all major muscle groups with minimum impact on joints, but it has three wheels so it can be used outdoors: on city streets, bike trails or even the open road.
Tests conducted at the German Sport University in Cologne claim the Freecross calorie burn rate to be up to 643Kcal an hour when travelling at a speed of 18km/h - roughly 25 per cent more than cycling.
Freecross sessions are already offered in the UK at Soho Gyms. Details: www.freecross.de
Supplier: FreeCross GmbH BonnGermany No need to head into the fitness studio on those beautiful days anymore. On bike trails or out on the open road, the Freecross lets you combine the full-body, elliptical workout with fresh air and the freedom to train wherever its wheels can take you.
