Velaqua Diffusion of France has launched the Velaqua©, a floating, pedal-less bicycle for use in water.
The bike, which is said to be both unsinkable and uncapsizable, can be used for a range of activities, including physiotherapy, relaxation or exercise.
Consisting of a frame and two high-density floats, the device can withstand loads in excess of 120kg, making it suitable for use by almost everyone.
The range includes four models: The Fun Pro and Fun GT Pro (with flippers and levers), for use in swimming pools as well as the motorised Fun GT E Pro, which is intended for use at sea or on lakes and is currently being tested as well. Also being developed is the Liberta, designed especially for use by those with non-abled bodies.
The Velaqua weighs just 12kg and can be dismantled into three parts for easy transport.
