Health and fitness franchise, Attiva supported Malvern's 5km 'Race for Life' recently, helping to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Attiva Operations Director Richard Noble, a cancer survivor and long-time Cancer Research UK volunteer, was personally involved in the occasion and said: “It was a fantastic event and it was really great to see the whole community involved in raising money for cancer.
"Due to a personal experience with cancer six years ago, I was keen to team up Attiva with Cancer Research UK and was very proud to support the event.”
Noble's wife, Rachel - director of the Attiva health club in Malvern - led the 1500 runners in an interactive ten-minute warm-up and Richard led the race in an Attiva truck whilst fifty female Attiva members and staff participated in the race.
Twenty Attiva men, both club members and staff, were on hand to support the runners by helping with set up, marshalling the course, and handing out water to thirsty participants.
The Attiva concept has been created to take health clubs to smaller communities and market towns, with the Malvern site - currently boasting 800 members - being its pilot fitness club.
