Electronic Temperature Instruments has introduced a new floating waterproof thermometer, ideal for monitoring the temperature of swimming pools and spas.
The instrument samples the temperature of the water once every second and indicates temperature over the range of 0 to +50°C with a 0.1°C or 0.1°F resolution, which is switchable. It also features a max/min and display hold function, the latter allowing it to be removed from the water to make checking the reading easier.
It comes in a waterproof ABS case and is supplied with an 80cm cord which can be tied to the retaining hook. Power is supplied by a single 3v lithium coin cell battery that gives a life expectancy of about 5,000 hours or six months continuous use.
The digital bath thermometer is priced at £12 plus VAT and carriage.
