Ustigate has just completed the construction of a new Splashpad water play facility in the Adventure Castle at the Longleat Estate in Wiltshire.
The Splashpad consists of various spray jets set in an EPDM rubber surface, the jets being activated by children using vibration sensitive pads. They have various spray patterns and some are interactive, allowing the children to adjust flow rates and therefore the spray effect.
A bespoke Arrow Jet centrepiece gives the impression of an archers' arrow fired into the centre of the Splashpad with fine sprays coming from its quills. The system is controlled by Ustigate's mains water control system which is automated to minimise maintenance and running costs.
The Longleat installation is the latest in a number of Splashpads built and designed by the company in partnership with Vortex Aquatic Structures International, including Europe's largest at the Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham.
