The COVID-19 pandemic has temporarily halted opportunities to gather in-person to discuss vital topics relating to the fitness industry’s future.

That’s why Club Industry and Sibec are working together, as part of the Questex Wellness Group, to present the free Future of Fitness virtual event on 16-18 November, 2020.

The pandemic has brought into sharp focus how important health and wellness is to everyone, but in too many countries, the fitness industry has not been seen as an essential service. So, the health club industry must be more strategic in its outreach to governments.

David Stalker, former CEO of ukactive and current CEO of Myzone EMEA, will share in the first day’s keynote how the industry can influence government strategies, particularly at a local level, because in the face of the pandemic, leaders have to learn how to crush disruption and triumph over it.

On day two, keynote, Liz Bohannon, founder and CEO of Sseko Designs, will present three strategies that create opportunities regardless of the challenge or the industry.

Bohannon faced the COVID-19 pandemic head-on when it threatened to end her socially-conscious global fashion brand, but she brought her business back from the brink of destruction to hit more than 100 per cent of sale goals by May.

Tune in to her speech to find out how her three strategies can help your business.

The virtual event will also address topics such as:
– How to improve the industry’s reputation and build confidence in its importance

– What members want from their health club in an age of COVID-19

– Virtual fitness: why a hybrid model is amMust for your club’s survival

– How private equity views the fitness industry today

– Retention in the time of COVID-19

– What leadership looks like in a time of crisis

– Creating a better customer experience
